Mystery Date

Ingredients:

• 1 1/2 oz Gin
• 1/2 oz Sweet Vermouth
• 2 drops Grenadine

Mixing instructions:

Shake with cracked ice. Strain. Garnish with 1/4 of a strawberry.

Creator/contributor's comments:

The Mystery Date comes from a party the first weekend of August 1998 - looking for a slightly sweeter alternative to the martini (and a change of pace from the manhattans served that night) I created this to rave reviews. I feel that it combines the essence of a classic cocktail with some of the sweeter variations of today, providing a refreshing drink for some of the more delicate imbibers at a gathering.
