Monte-Sano

Ingredients:

• 1 part Dark rum (Myers Special Dark)
• 1 part Rum (Mount Gay Barbados Eclipse)
• 1 splash Bitters
• 1 part Club soda
• 1 oz Lemon juice
• crushed Ice
• 1 pinch Sugar

Mixing instructions:

Put all ingredients together and stir in sugar, pour over ice. Drink up.

This is how I learned to make the famous drink of Larchmont Yacht Club on Long Island Sound. It is named for the great drinking/racing family of Commodore, Bizzy, and Jimmy Montesano. You can look for their name on sailing trophies everywhere. When at Larchmont a Monte-Sano is standard operating gear for all activites. Best when made by the pitcher for all the crew, paid for by the skipper.
