Creator/contributor's comments:

This is a simple but a very smooth and refreshing drink. I came up with it while working as a banquet bartender at a hotel near the beach in Southern California. In the summer some functions were held outside where it was very beautiful overlooking the ocean but could be quite warm. On hosted bars some guests (especially women) who were not big drinkers but wanted to join in the festivities would ask for a drink which was not very strong in alcohol or liquor taste. So I came up with this recipe which I received many compliments on. If you want to add more of a jolt to it, just bump up the amounts of vodka and triple sec.
