Creator/contributor's comments:

This drink originated in Berkeley as I was speaking to the new barkeep who had Irish heritage. I myself am of Mexican heritage so together we created the San Patricio (said in Spanish). It is named after the Irish-American troop that sided with the Mexican's during the Mexican-American War. Optional variations include a 1 oz. shot of Bushmills or a 1 oz. shot of Aņejo Tequila.
