Nan's special

Ingredients:

• 30 ml Vodka
• 30 ml 7-Up or similar drink
• 60 ml Soda water
• Juice of 1/2 Lemon
• Dash of Salt

Mixing instructions:

Mix the Vodka, 7-up & Soda in that order. Add lemon juice. Add salt gradually until the sweet taste of 7-up just disappears.

Originally invented by a friend, Prosenjit Mandal : perfected by my husband Nan during the course of innumerable parties we had in Bombay, that the name was changed from "Mandal's special" to "Nan's special".
